Summer Run, Summer Fun!

Hey Hotties,

We had about 16 runners last night to kick off the summer runs.

We enjoyed dinner and libations at Old Chicago, once the “Tool Concert” traffic faded.

Next Wednesday’s run (6/27) will be at 6:00 p.m. at the Peoria Heights Tower.

Please join us – don’t lose the momentum you have built!

Dinner/Dessert afterwards will be at the Spotted Cow on Glen Avenue.

Lincoln Douglas Race this Saturday

There is a great little small town race in Metamora this Saturday.

Entry fee is $10 by 6/20, and only $12 if you show up Saturday morning.

It’s a great little 3 mile run. There is also an 8 mile run if you are up for the challenge.

Race Results!

Hi Everybody. Great job out there today on the hot and steamy streets of Peoria!

Here are some race results – let me know if I missed anybody.

OF SPECIAL NOTE:
Congratulations go out to John Achterberg who is clearly way overqualified to be a Hottie: 6:14 pace – are you freakin’ kidding me???
The young Miss Cassidy Skaggs won her age group – way to go, Girlie!
Katie Cassidy rocked the course for the ladies with a pace of 7:22. Dannnnnnngggggg, Girl!
Three cheers for Dustin McDougall and Runnin’ Red Hall of Famer Jeff Rebholz for completing the 15K. We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!

It’s time for the Summer Hottie Runs. Naturally we will kick it off at the Gateway Building on 6/20 at 6:00 with dinner to follow at Old Chicago so JW can have a Killians…

Please join us, celebrate with us, tell some war stories, kick back for a cold brew, and certainly check back here to see where we will be over the next several months.
