Takin’ It To The Streets… Part I
The Hotties were out in full force last night, and it was a great run.
We ran the course, stayed together as a group and enjoyed the low 80’s temps.
Teacher, teacher, can you teach me?

If you can’t stand the heat…
The Hotties were on fire last night. It was a pretty toasty 85 degrees at 6:00. Let this serve as another hydration reminder. Three SuperHotties arrived in full costume to provide some entertainment (?) for the runners. We certainly got some interesting looks as we ran across the Bob Michel Bridge into the 61611 zip code. Here are some photos from the evening. Dinner on 5/30 is at Panera in East Peoria.

Building Steam Update
Hey Hotties,
We had a good workout last night at Building Steam. Everybody did a remarkable job on the seemingly endless uphill climb. We had a really big group! Tim Broe was the guest speaker before our training run. He told some good stories and encouraged everybody to set goals.
Next week we will have a fun bridge run into a different zip code. Food Following Fun Friends and Fitness: Schooners!
Remember to hydrate…
If you can’t stand the heat, don’t run with the Hotties!

Olympian Tim Broe motivated the crowd and even signed an autograph at Building Steam last night.

Hotties Shirts
Hotties,
One of my dreams (that seems to keep getting pushed to the back burner) is to one day have some official Hotties logo shirts made available for the group. I’m still working on the PERFECT logo, etc.
In the mean time, I am offering to personalize a shirt for you if you would like to bring one to me. Black seems to work really great for the silver glitter paint, but other colors might work too. So, if you purchase a new t-shirt or tank top, be sure to wash it first, inside out, without fabric softener. If you want me to paint an existing shirt, please wash it without fabric softener.
After you wash the shirt… put it on… stand in front of a mirror… then take a piece of scotch or masking tape 8-10 inches long and put the tape at the height you would like it to be. (the top of the tape is where the bottom of the painted word will be. Also, if you stand straight with your arms at your side in front of a mirror, you can check and make sure it’s level, centered, etc. Leave the tape on the shirt when you bring it to me. I should be able to turn them around and get them back to you by the next week.

Good Times
We had a good turnout for a warm, dry Building Steam last night. We did some clowning around after some speed work, and the fun carried over into Old Chicago. Bailey received a prize for being such a good sport last week at Hooters. We also met a nice bachelorette who briefly loaned her male friend to us. We’ll call him “Alfredo”. Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Hydrate Hydrate Hydrate!
Hey Hotties!
It’s starting to get warmer out. In addition to getting acclimated to the coming heat, we must all remember the importance of hydration. It’s not the water you consume tomorrow that will help you run well tomorrow - It’s the water you consumed yesterday and today that will be absorbed into your muscles and joints, keeping you primed and ready to run. Tomorrow’s water is still your friend, but too much before the run will just slosh around in your belly and bladder. Wow, that’s a statement I never thought I’d blog

Hotties & Hooters
Is anybody out there running Race for the Cure on May 12? Please let me know if you are interested in joining forces to run together.
Last night was our “Meet & Greet” at Building Steam. We met some nice new Hotties and learned some interesting facts as well… The weather cooperated nicely and we had a group of around 20 people. Yeah!
Wow, did we have fun last night! Here are a few pictures. More will be added later to the gallery on www.runninghotties.com
The scene of the fun…

These girls wouldn’t leave Bailey alone!
Brian, always a “giver” helped a lovely young lady with her studies.

We can’t be sure whether or not Bailey enjoyed the evening…
